Somehow I missed this, but Commandos did have a minor soundtrack release consisting of 3 tracks on the compilation album The Film Music of Nascimbene.
Limited to only 500 units, it is currently sold out, but can likely be found on the secondary market.

COMMANDOS (1968), directed by Armando Crispino and starring Lee Van Cleef and Jack Kelly, is a violent war-adventure movie set during WW2, when an Italian-American commando outfit, disguised as an Italian Army unit, parachutes behind Axis lines in North Africa. Nascimbene’s powerful music relies heavily on the traditional Dies Irae chant to underscore this suicide mission.
