Location: La Sartenilla - Big Punchout

Near Tabernas, Spain, there is a location known as La Sartenilla. This was the desolate area famously used in the opening of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly. In the film Sabata, this area served as the location of the film's finale

In The Big Gundown, it briefly serves as the location where Corbett is rescued after a walk through the desert, only to steal his rescuer's horse to continue is pursuit of Cuchillo.  Comparison sequence below-

  2. Thanks Aaron for posting these pictures. Hopefully I will get to see them in March. I was in Tabernas and I went to some of the locations from For a few dollars more and The good, the bad and the ugly. It was real good to see all these film locations that I saw in the movies when I was little. Some of the new generations here in Spaim don't know Lee Van Cleef because on TV they don't show good movies anymore. I grow up watching these movies and listening to Ennio Morricone's music even before watching the movie. And I really thought the music was something special too.
