Presented for possibly the first time on the internet, is one of 4 songs LVC recorded in 1973 as part of his LVC Records endeavor. Very few of these records were pressed, and are very hard to come by.
At the start of each month, I will "premiere" one of these songs here. Enjoy!
This week:
LVC-001 "The Bad Man's Back"
I received one of this along with a VHS copy of Guns, Girls and Gangsters from England in the 1990s. It said Lee recorded these songs for his fan club in Europe.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear this track as the 45 I received had songs recorded for Captain Apache on it. Those of course can be heard on the film.
I was disappointed it wasn't one of the four recorded in 1973. I think the Captain Apache songs were recorded in 1971 in Spain for the film.
Once Lee was asked about why he decided to sing and he said back then his friends Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood sang for an album of music from Paint Your Wagon and that led to Lee wanting to do it too.
Not a bad voice 👍
