I too plan to watch El Condor tonight. Just got a good DVD version from TCM. This morning I watched the 4 Star Playhouse episode "Trails End". This is very early Lee Van Cleef and already his acting is top notch. And it is fascinating to me to see Lee doing scenes with Dick Powell who was a top star in Hollywood in the 1930's, 40's and 50's then he switched to being a director and said he like it better because now he doesn't half to hold in his stomach when on the set.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot of Lee- haven't seen that one before. Any idea when this was taken?
ReplyDeleteMid 80s I'd suppose - new teeth and earring, just like in Jungle Raider (1985)... It certainly is a lovely pic and I haven't seen it before, either!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have the time to watch anything and I still couldn't find a decent copy of El Condor, but there always is time to dream, right?
